Such an odd feeling; knowing that you are presenting your child (figuratively speaking) to your community and the world for approval. Everybody says to your face, "oh how wonderful (cute, sweet-fill in your own descriptive). But what do they say out of earshot?
Beginning today, I'll find out. With the pre-release announcement for The Singularity (my newborn), I'm not so concerned with negative criticism (OK maybe a little concerned); I'm not even too worried if people judge the child's quality by the parent's actions. I'm much more fearful that others won't react at all: Won't comment, won't respond, won't engage in the upbringing of the prodigy.
I don't want this to be about me God, but how You are involved in my child's life. If no-one else recognizes it's quality, does that cast a shadow on Yours and my relationship?
Not my will, but Yours be done. Let the world know, whether through my procreation or Your perfect creation; You are God.
