I wonder if Revelation is significant to our everyday lives or if our everyday lives are significant to Revelation? Perhaps both? Anyone else out there have thought?

OK, Let's start an interesting dialogue. List a Bible vs that this event may bring to your mind. Try not to repeat anyone else's verse and let's see how many we can come up with. I'll begin. Matthew 24. This seems like a perfect moment to pose the question. After the heralding and the fanfare and the pageantry of Christmas, what next? Every year, a repetition of the same message - Get ready. Why? Something, or Someone is on their way. Are we preparing The Way? Am I prepared?
I knew it! This is the stuff books are made of!
http://www.foxnews.com/science/2013/10/30/dark-matter-search-comes-up-empty/ I can't help it, the culture and politics of our times, as well as the physical phenomena, suggest an escalation of some sort. Yes, there have been doomsayers throughout history, and for good reason - bad stuff keeps invading the peace of the world.
Are these times any different than others. Is there a disquiet in our universe greater than before or are we just recycling the same old cultural depravity and physical upheaval? I'd love your opinion. Day to day we go about the song of our existence expecting nothing to happen out of the ordinary in the music. But each day brings us closer to an extraordinary crescendo in a cosmic symphony for which we are poorly practiced. Start playing as if you mean it!
We're told that the universe is expanding...what is it expanding into? We're told that the spaces in between space is filled with "something"...what is it? We're told this and much more - we're given mathematics as its description...who decided the problem is formulaic? What if the question and the answer are spiritual?
If we were shown scientifically that God exists, wouldn't we be "all about God?" So if we claim to have faith, yet live as if God is not in a direct relationship with us - what is wrong with us? Also, just for interest sake – go to http://blackholes.stardate.org/directory/factsheet.php?p=V4641-Sagittarii to read about the “star” player in the book. LOL.
Such an odd feeling; knowing that you are presenting your child (figuratively speaking) to your community and the world for approval. Everybody says to your face, "oh how wonderful (cute, sweet-fill in your own descriptive). But what do they say out of earshot?
Beginning today, I'll find out. With the pre-release announcement for The Singularity (my newborn), I'm not so concerned with negative criticism (OK maybe a little concerned); I'm not even too worried if people judge the child's quality by the parent's actions. I'm much more fearful that others won't react at all: Won't comment, won't respond, won't engage in the upbringing of the prodigy. I don't want this to be about me God, but how You are involved in my child's life. If no-one else recognizes it's quality, does that cast a shadow on Yours and my relationship? Not my will, but Yours be done. Let the world know, whether through my procreation or Your perfect creation; You are God. |
